Film Studio MTM, an independent production company, was created in 1997. The company specializes in animated films and documentaries on culture and social problems. Until 2000 the company operated as Studio MTM Sp. z o.o. Film Studio MTM’s productions include: a three-part film Marzenia są ciekawsze – niezrealizowane projekty Andrzeja Wajdy directed by Stanisław Janicki, 12 film miniatures Społecznik Roku for Wisława Szymborska Foundation, “Lekcja polskiego kina” directed by Andrzej Wajda (about the birth of the Polish cinematography after 1945 and its worldwide success in the following years), “Ćwiczenia niepamięci” directed by Antoni Krauze and dedicated to Janusz Morgenstern, “Jaki jest z bliska” directed by Katarzyna Maciejko – Kowalczyk, “Niepokój” directed by Krzysztof Tchórzewski (film portrait of Krzysztof Zanussi), and “Vivat Academia Vivant Professores” directed by Jerzy Kalina.

The latter was made in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Academy of Fine Arts and produced by using a traditional animation technique. With this film in 2005 Film Studio MTM won the Brązowa Kreska Award at the OFAFA Festival for individual professional achievement in the professional film category. The company has also produced documentary Piosenka o mojej Warszawie (dir. Krzysztof Nowak – Tyszowiecki), which received the President of Poland diploma at the 13th International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival. Furthermore, the company has worked on a series dedicated to the Polish cinema and made films on environment protection, as well as animated and feature films for children and youth.
