Odra-Film, a cultural institution financed by Marshall’s Office of Lower Silesia, runs The Lower Silesian Film Fund and Wroclaw Film Commission, both funded by the Lower Silesian council and the city of Wroclaw.
The Lower Silesian Film Fund (also known as The Lower Silesian Film Competition) was established in 2008 and its founders are Marshall’s Office of Lower Silesia and Municipality of Wrocław. The aim of The Competition is to select feature, documentary and animated film projects deemed worthy of financial support. The main selection criterion is the connection of the projects with Lower Silesia either through its location or through the participation of the local film industry. Thus far, the Competition has provided co-production funding for 46 films (18 features, 25 documentaries, 3 animations) in 8 editions. Odra-Film is a co-producer of the movies which have been co-financed through the competition.
