The Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market (SARA) is the first institution of its kind acting within audiovisual sector. It was appointed in June 2011 by the decision of the KIPA General Assembly and as a result of needs signalled by producers circle, regarding setting up an efficient system to settle legal tussles and conflicts arising from everyday activity of Polish representatives of the film and television market.
Courts of Arbitration, including the Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market, are marked by amicable and confidential nature of settling tussles. SARA serves all members of audiovisual market – producers, coproducers, broadcasting companies, creators, performers, members of film and television crews, authors' heirs, etc. Tussles can be examined by the court provided there is a regulation in the agreement concerning the arrangement that the Court of Arbitration of the Audiovisual Market at the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber of Commerce is the appropriate court to hear arguments resulting from rulings of the concluded contract.
